About McQueen Mentoring

At McQueen Mentoring, the aim of the game is to make mentor coaching a necessary part of your practice not just a credentialing checkbox. It's about real development, honest reflection, and making space for growth that’s useful, practical, and hurrah enjoyable to boot!

Who?

McQueen Mentoring exists for coaches who are serious about their craft—and ready to move beyond ticking boxes. Mentor coaching should not feel like admin. Our mission is to make it something you actually look forward to: valuable, challenging, supportive, and yes, even fun. Whether you’re working toward ICF accreditation or just want to deepen your skills, this is a space where growth gets real (and useful).

I’m Kim, ICF PCC, registered Mentor Coach, Assessor, and someone who’s been around the block more than a few times. I’ve been coaching senior leaders and execs since 2017 and mentoring coaches for the last year. I've worked with the AoEC as faculty on their Practitioner Diploma programme, assessed countless recordings, and helped brilliant coaches raise their game with direct, constructive, and refreshingly fluff-free feedback.

Before that? A decade in corporate finance. So I know what high-stakes environments feel like, what makes people tick (or burn out), and what kind of coaching actually lands. I built Storm McQueen to help leaders navigate that terrain and created McQueen Mentoring because I saw how much untapped potential there was in great coaches being left to work it all out alone.

Why Work With Me?

  • I Know the ICF Inside-Out
Credentialing can feel like a maze. I help you navigate it clearly and strategically, whether you're aiming for ACC, PCC, or preparing for renewal.

  • Straight Talk, Big Heart
I won’t sugar-coat, and I won’t shy away from what needs to be said but you’ll always feel supported. Think poignant feedback with a strong dose of humanity (and the odd well-placed swear word, if you're into that).

  • Tailored, Not Templated
One-size-fits-all? Not here. We work in a way that suits you whether that's one-to-one, in a small group, or a mix of both. Your goals. Your pace. Your practice.

Mentor coaching with me is designed to stretch your thinking, strengthen your skills, and remind you why you became a coach in the first place. So if you're ready to cut through the noise, sharpen your edge, and bring a bit more boldness into your coaching, let’s get to work.

What Do Our Clients Say?

Hear from happy clients about their experiences.

I just wanted to write a note to utterly and inadequately try and thank you for all your support, guidance, compassion, and wit to help me get through. THANK YOU!

You were such a great mentor throughout the process. The experience was transformational in so many ways and I'm excited about the journey ahead. It has been a privilege to have the opportunity to work with you.

Lucy Brown

Executive Coach

I was fortunate to have had Kim as my mentor during my time studying for my Executive Coaching Practitioner Diploma with the AoEC. Kim’s wealth of coaching experience was evident in her insightful and practical feedback.

Kim’s encouraging and positive coaching style proved to be invaluable in helping me successfully complete my certification, and I’m sure that her feedback and guidance will stand me in good stead for many years to come. I highly recommend Kim to aspiring or experienced coaches looking to take their practice to the next level.

Richard Ogston

Lecturer & Executive Coach and Mentor

Kim observed our sessions but also played an active role in supporting us. The way she engaged with us instantly made me feel safe - and truly embrace vulnerability. Kim was always attentive to our needs, and I learned a lot from her thoughtful and honest feedback after observing our coaching practice. She answered my questions about how she runs her own coaching sessions. This gave me invaluable insights beyond what we had learned in our training and sparked so many ideas for my own practice.

Meeting and working with Kim has been truly inspirational, I’ve learned so much from her, and I deeply appreciate her ongoing support. I would highly recommend Kim as a coach, mentor, and facilitator to anyone looking for expertise, warmth, and guidance in their coaching journey.

Veronika Davies

Executive Coach

Working with Kim has been an incredibly transformative experience. From the very beginning, Kim’s thoughtfulness and deep empathy made me feel seen and understood. She created a safe, supportive space where I could explore my challenges and aspirations, knowing that I’ll always receive guidance grounded in kindness and genuine care.

Kim has a unique ability to ask the right questions, gently pushing me out of my comfort zone in a way that feels both encouraging and empowering. Her positive challenges have helped me grow in ways I didn’t think were possible, and I’m constantly inspired by her insightful and knowledgeable approach. She not only helped me navigate obstacles but also equipped me with the tools and mindset to tackle future challenges with confidence.I am incredibly grateful for her support and expertise, and I truly feel that with Kim’s mentorship, I’ve gained the clarity and strength I needed to move forward in my coaching journey.

Anna Bowden

Executive Coach and Trainer

Kim is an excellent mentor coach who provided expert support for me throughout my ACC renewal process. Her depth of knowledge about the ICF and its processes, as well as her own experience and expertise as a coach and coach mentor are invaluable.

Kim creates productive and safe spaces for group and 1:1 coach mentor sessions, giving strong, constructive, and developmental feedback that sharpened my competence and confidence as a coach. She successfully balances her depth of professional skill with a level empathy and humanness that makes the experience enjoyable. I would highly recommend Kim to anyone seeking support for the ICF credentialing process.

Adanna Onuekwusi

Executive & Leadership Coach | Coach Trainer | Education Consultant

Kim was my mentor coach through my ICF ACC. Kim's knowledge and coaching skills are second to none. She is very logical and analytical, and used these skills to carry out in depth analyses on my coaching sessions - both recorded and live. This led her to always be able to give me really helpful feedback linked to the ICF ACC minimum requirements. She coupled this with suggestions and tools that I could implement immediately.

Alongside her excellent knowledge and analytical skills, she is also extremely personable, and is able to build positive and supportive relationships quickly. I always felt at ease and enjoyed myself in Kim's sessions, and felt how hard she worked for me. Thank you Kim for a great experience and all your expertise!

Being part of Kim's group coaching felt genuinely supportive and stretching at the same time. There were three of us at different stages in our coaching journey, which made it rich - with less experience myself than others, I could clearly benchmark and see where I could get to.

My biggest aha moment was around the relaxation I felt landing clear, concise questions. I left having made a huge change in this area, encouraged to trust my instincts as a coach. I received honest and warm feedback from everyone as Kim encouraged us to set agreements on how we do this together.

She grounded her verbal and then written notes in the ICF competencies as a follow up email, which matters as I work towards my ACC. I got to coach, observe and be coachee so each session was a full experience and had a live learning lab feeling.
